Hello there friends!
I have here, Beau's Island! My fun, goofy, island survival experience.
This game was made for the Pirate Game Jam of 2025.
The summarized premise of the game is as follows.
Beau's Island is an Adventure-Exploration Sandbox RPG.
Tl;dr right here. You go onto the island, meet my cats, and then are introduced to the wacky forest where the game is mostly played. Collect the items and move on, maybe run into some, goofy characters and experiences along the way? Play to find out!

You get to be a pet, (Hopefully soon of many kinds) and explore Beau's Island!
Beau is my first pet cat I was personally responsible for and he loved to explore. He has since passed of course and due to his really sad demise, I had to enforce strict, no outdoor cats policies on all our new kitties.
It's been much better and the cat's are great but I will never forget my beautiful buddy who just wanted to be able to roam the neighborhood.
Beau's Island, is a fictional island that houses all of my kitties and pets, in one form or another. The main town area is the mission central. Not much to explore but to come back and touch base with the NPC's and further the games objectives.
The meat and potatoes is Beau's Wacky Forest. This forest is procedurally generated, so no venture through is the same. There is only one way to move forward, through other procedurally generated states. Each area, gets increasingly more difficult in terms of enemy types, and environmental variations.
In venturing through and looting the forest, you can increase your inventory, and create the items necessary to move forward in the game.
This game was made, with A LOT of assets from the Unity Asset Store.
This was done in order to be able to, animate scenes using pre-rigged models, writing dialogue, scripting the narration and voice generation tools, designing the levels, and really any other things you can think of to create the game.
Seems like I wasn't able to get away from some shaders not working haha awe. So some of the game is pink.
I am still rather happy and proud of myself to have animated and put together such a mildly cohesive story about my animals.
